Not a thoroughly dried product.
This brand is very, very moist compared to other plastic-bagged dried tomatoes I have purchased, but, like the other brands, I am storing it in the refrigerator, and, so far, no signs of mold or off-smells or taste. Could be frozen if there are any additional concerns as to longevity. The moistness is otherwise a distinct advantage: no real need for pre-soaking, as they are already somewhat juicy and plump up further fast. Readily dissolve and thicken liquid. Nice flavor.

Great in soups.
The Roland sun-dried tomato strips sat on the shelf for about a year before I got around to trying them in my homemade vegetable soup and WOW!! They were more flavorful than the fresh or canned tomatoes I have been using. Next time however I will cut the strips into small pieces in order to spread the flavor around.

Not like it used to be
This used to be a good product but my last order was wet and filled with a nasty taste. Of course it's not returnable because it's food, but I'll have to get sun dried tomatoes somewhere else cuz this was nasty.

They aren’t very dry
I’m used to a sun dried tomato that is more dry. These feel like they have a lot of moisture left. A lot more than any brand I’ve ever bought. Like they are something between a tomato and a sundried tomato. If that works for you or your like one with more moisture and less dried, like in a certain recipe, these may be perfect for you. They come vacuum packed. The bag doesn’t have a zipper closure or anything to reseal it so make sure you either have a large zipper bag or a container to store them in if you aren’t using them all at one time.

PRETTY ENTHUSED FOR A GARNISH - check it out!
Did you know you could turn this into something as tasty as Cole-slaw but 10x healthier? Instead of MAYO you use the traditional robust Olive Oil, but add some whole vinegar and a bunch of dried cranberries - stir it up and let it soak in. That little touch of sweetness in every bite is just right! The size of the tomato bits is also ideal. The bag arrives squeezed to a solid brick. Upon opening (not resealable) you note the pungent aroma and that the tomatoes are still moist - they're not entirely dry. These have no doubt been squeezed instead of heated or frozen which makes for a long shelf-life and zero drawback afa nutrition or chemicals. These are way closer to fresh tomatoes - so don't treat them like you want canned by adding water to them and boiling. Try some with this recipe first!
