Definitely works 100% on carpet/rugs for an elliptical.
I was a little skeptical if this would work or not, however, it absolutely stops my understanding desk elliptical from moving around on the rug while in use! I use this on a rug, not on a hard surface, a hard surface may have different results. On carpet, or a rug, it's perfect!

The radius should be advertised, the foot pads should have none slip material on them, it’s hard to keep feet on the pads

This is great. It prevents the pedal machine from moving making it easier to pedal longer. It’s easy to move to a different location. And it’s of a good material making it more durable.
