My daughter broke her wrist, and when her cast came off, they recommended she wear a splint for a while. This liner was perfect! Just like the stuff they gave us, and she didn’t have to worry about wearing out the liners.These are not a compression, just a cotton liner for underneath the splint.

I had a trapeziectomy on May 15th. When the cast and stitches came out they put me in a hand brace that rubbed against my incision. This brought the gauze sleeve. I wasn't going to use the same dirty one for four weeks. Leading to my reading reviews for this product. It works great. I do NOT cut a half circle for the thumb. I cut a 1/4" slit. When hand is inserted the hole will be perfect. The gauze stretches and sheds. I only wear it one day and change it. It's perfect for me. I'd given five stars if it wasn't for the shedding. Don't ever wear black clothing while using this product. Lol it will look like it snowed on you.

My review on this item is not based on any dissatisfaction of this product but rather the description. If you are looking for a product that provides a mild form of compression, this is not the product. The description stated if the circumference of your calf is between 9-20 or so inches, then order 5" size. I fell into that range and the stockinette fell off my leg. It was even too big for my thigh! Unfortunately you have to open the package to see if the item will work, but if it doesn't, you are stuck with it. So, make sure you want a really relaxed stockinette, and you order the right size. Others had mentioned some of these short comings, but I didn't listen, so I'm saying it again.

Not compression keeps cast from rubbing

I will be wearing a hard plastic custom splint for most of the next year, so I was elated to see I could get my own supply of casting socks/sleeves.The two stars are for the color. Otherwise, the material is so thing it isn't manageable and loses its elasticity after you put it on. Forget about trying to remove to wash your hands and reuse.Secondly, the threads begin to unravel immediately. I'm so disappointed that I have a whole roll of unusable sleeving.
