I love this tool
My doctor recommended some tools to help me after my hip replacement surgery. I hesitated to spend money on this simple tool, but as with a couple of other of her recommendations, I'm sure glad I did. It's great for getting your socks and pants off and picking things up from the floor while I'm sitting on the edge of the bed wondering how on earth I'd ever get to them. My surgery was almost five weeks ago, and I'm still using it. In fact, along with my grabber tool, it just lives next to me on my bed so it's always there if I want to use it to pick up something or pull things towards me. I highly recommend this handle little tool!

Dressing stick comes apart into two pieces for more compact travel
I was wondering how I would pack a dressing aid of this length, but it comes in two pieces that screw seamlessly and securely together. My only question is how to store the little cap that covers the screw end when the pieces are separated for travel.

Works well. Easy to use
Works well. Easy to use with anything except socks but sock helpers are fairly priced on Amazon.

Like it. Don't Love the Metal Hook Part
This thing worked reasonably well for helping after a leg injury and being laid up in bed.The good:* The bent, plastic covered end was great for helping to take off socks, reach up and snag/pull on a light/fan pull cord, and I could also use it to pull over a leg stand milk crate by my bed.* The hook end was useful to reach a window shade pull cord as well. The average:* I don't love the metal hook. I'm not sure what it's really good for other than pulling on a cord. I'm sure there's plenty of other uses, but I'm not sure getting dressed is one of them. It's too sharp on its edges to use for pulling on things like socks. (MAYBE if using socks with pull loops, and using two of these, but otherwise, not really.) So I thought it was just a potentially annoying and even risky slightly sharp edged thing lying around.Overall, it was useful for me for my injury and I'd get it again. But I think I might just file down the edges of the metal end.

Not strong enough hook for compression stockings
I just bought this about a week ago to mainly help me remove my compression stockings. If you have to wear these, you know how hard it is to get these things on and off because they are so tight. The hook bent down while trying to remove the stockings and puts it at a wrong angle to remove them. This needs to be a very strong, non-bendable hook or the thing is useless. Maybe it's the weakness of the screw holding on to the hook but all I know is that it bent. Before I bought this I was wondering if the two parts screwed together were enough to be strong. Turns out, this is not the problem with this item. It is the bendable hook. It would have been fine to just remove socks or pants but compression stockings are another story. I would not recommend this particular item if you need to remove compressions stockings.

I AM STILL H O O K ED ON THIS ITEM!!!
I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL OF THESE VERY FUNCTIONAL HELPERS BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY DO NOT LAST VERY LONG!… The HOOKS BECOME STRIPPED AND JUST FALL OFF AND YOU ARE LEFT WITH ONLY THE STICK!!! MANUFACTURING SHOULD BE BETTER!
