Scotts Miracle-Gro Levington Multi Purpose Compost 70 Litres

Levingtons is the best compost I have ever used. Good quality for all growing, from seeds to cuttings to baskets & planters. It is a bit heavy, but because it is a slim sturdy bag I managed to get it where I wanted it in the shed.

I have always used Levington as its really good stuff but even better I can now get it delivered as 'elderly lady' cannot now lug it from the garden centre. The Yodel driver very kindly put it on my back garden so I can slit the bag and hey presto 'done'. Cannot be faulted.Thank you.

I knew it was good stuff - it's Levington, which I had used many times before in years past. But the delivery was great, too - I am too old to lug heavy bags of compost from garden centre to car, and from car up numerous steps to my garden. The delivery man was a gem - he brought all 7 of the bags I ordered up those steps, with a cheerful smile on his face, and believe me, I was extremely grateful. A great way to order and receive such heavy items.

First of all let me just say that my review score is no reflection on the seller. The service has been great and delivery was very quick.When you think of Levington's you think of quality, expertise, history and an understanding of what gardeners want. However, upon opening the bag and taking out a few scoops of the compost to top up a few of my planters, I was amazed by just how much rubbish was in it. I get that it is made from recycled materials but the amount of partially broken down wood beggars belief. I know it can help with drainage and moisture retention but the amount in just a few scoops is silly.And then there are the stones, bits of ceramic tile, plastic and silicon sealant I also found. I've had fair better quality from B&Q's range of Verve compost.Overall I would say that I wouldn't buy Levington's again and instead opt for similar priced, store branded compost from retailers like B&Q or a local garden centre. And get more for that money too.Again, I want to reiterate that this review is NOT a reflection of the seller. Longacres Garden Centre does not own, is not owned or works on behalf of Levington's. This is a Levington's quality issue.

Delivery was fast but would not buy a again. Lots of unbroken down twigs, wood and paper. Doesn’t feel like there is any soil in it. Will wait and see if any plants grow. Had to order a different make and bag

Used for summer hanging baskets and pots and it was very easy to handle. Plants are growing well
