Why did you pick this product vs others?:It works

I really like this product and the only reason that I'm not rating it 5 stars is because I had to modify it to work with my phone case. The Otterbox I have for my iPhone is pretty thick and does not offer a large volume to access the lightning connector. I had to sand the sides of these units (photo included to illustrate) so that they'd clear the Otterbox and fully seat in the phone lightning connector. Other than that, I'm very happy with them.

The unit was great worked fast and was small with no cord to lose connection. Be aware that it will not work with all cases installed it’s wide and thick, not a problem if you don’t use a case or if your case has a larger opening. It was to wide to use without removing my case every time I wanted to use it.

I can't really review the functionality of this product, because it does not reach the lightning port while using an otter box. This adapter is too wide and does not clear the Otter box frame to allow the adapter to connect. You will need a short jumper cable to use this product if your phone is housed in an otter box frame. You may want to look at one of the 7 port SD card adapters with the short connector cord.

I own a dashcam that features wireless transfer of files to phone or tablet. The problem that I and many other dashcam users suffer from is twofold:-glitchy Wi-Fi connectability-slow and sometimes incomplete file transferSo I began searching for a convenient, viable solution to the problem of quickly, easily, and reliably transferring files from dashcam to device.I came across this device and decided at $9.95, it was worth a shot.It did take a little while to figure out how it works (I’m older and definitely not a techie) but once I did, I found that file transfer was easier than using the Wi-Fi method, MUCH quicker, and far more reliable, as I’ve not yet seen an incomplete file transfer that causes me to start over.Minus a half star for ease of interpreting directions, and minus a half star for the fact that it does seem to get hot during use.Still a solid four stars and definitely worth the price.Just please, keep the price the same on a USB-C version, because when I replace my current phone, I’ll need a new reader that can plug into USB-C
