Americans should give it a try
It tastes kind of like really salty beef stew. I'm a big fan. I put this on buttered toast and I love it. Americans really need to try it. And I'm sorry Australia, I really prefer this to Marmite :/

It has taste all its own which is quite distinctive. The taste of it grows on you.

So Happy!
My regular Marmite supplier has been out of stock for so long that I finally resorted to Amazon. And, I got this at a great intro price! The regular price of about $20 isn't bad either as for the same volume from the store, I'd have had to pay at least $5 more. I can't live without my Marmite, and now I have a nice supply for quite a while. YAY! (If you've lived in England or South Africa or Australia, you'll appreciate my happiness, if you like it.)

Labels covered by blank stickers, Unsealed bottles, Non returnable and diarrhea attacks.
Surprised that the Nutrition Information of typical values on the yellow caps were concealed with white stickers. On opening, found bottles were unsealed inside.Nevertheless, tried it w/oatmeal and immediately had a bad diarrhea somewhat like stomach poisoning.Giving the benefit of the doubt, tried 3 more times from both bottles and with all 3 consumptions of a teaspoon each, resulted with diarrhea attacks.Went to Whole Foods store to return but, found that these are non-returnable.Expire date on both were noted as Nov 2024.Had Marmite bought from a nearby store before and had no issue.Surprised that these 2 bottles from the Amazon dealer gave such a bad experience.Hope the dealer reads this and respond.

Love it or Hate it
I am in the category of loving Marmite. Unfortunately I live in the back of beyond and it is impossible to find Marmite here and if you do it is very expensive. I have bought 500mg Marmite in the past and more than once have received broken jars. I suspect they were broken before they were sent. These smaller jars have arrived in perfect condition every time.

Not everyone’s “cup of tea.”
I grew up in England and was exposed to Marmite since my early childhood. It was used to flavor stews, gravy etc. but mostly spread on bread in sandwiches or buttered toast. It spiced up the usually bland cuisine. It is so strong a small jar goes a long way. No one in my American family can stand so I get to enjoy it all myself. I even like it in a peanut butter sandwich instead of jelly.
