I bought this item in May 2023.It was reasonably easy to put on a wall and it has been well used since then. Until recently the automatic retraction of the hose worked well. However it jammed a week ago and I couldn’t pull the hose out or feed it back in.I contacted Giraffe Tools via Amazon and had a swift reply. They asked for some photos and a video so they could see what was wrong.Giraffe are now sending me a free replacement which I think is excellent customer service. So a big recommendation from me for both a good product and a good company.

Absolutely chuffed with how this is performing, I have a large garden and unfortunately been through 4 different hose reels both wall mounted and reels to date, so I do have something to compare it to. This hose is on another level, first off it looks good….. Installation was straight forward. the pulling out of the hose is a good workout , but the hose extends fully and there is no dip in performance. The retraction is superb, it can go really fast so I keep my hand on the hose with a cloth so it goes back in clean, but it goes back in perfectly with no kinking. So for me it Looks good, very neat and it works , I am very happy with it. Also withstood builders for 3 weeks using it to mix muck etc ….

Fixing to the wall, was easy with good strong bolts in the pack, nice and solid. The plastic outer is not as strong, it scratches way too easily, even when I just carefully placed it on the patio, it scuffed as you can see in the pictures. Other than this, the hose is water tight, and the hand held trigger has a number of outputs which are in the main useful, while the whole hose looks nice with our colour scheme. The big question is will it last, I don't know, it feels like care is needed to ensure the spring continues to retract the hose, hopefully it will last at least 3 - 5yrs. Overall I like this hose, it could do with better outer cover, and then it would be a 5star product.

One season in and it's after breaking, I stored it away in a shed for the winter and just took it out last week, the white guide the moves along a track to stack the hose real stopped working and the hose has come off the real now and it's all wrapped up and I'm unable to free it. Poor product to only last one summer.

Bought this 2 years ago and have been delighted with it and how easy it is to use and to install.It connects very easily to tap and is easy to disconnect. The retract spring is enough to respool the hose gently and after it winds back with the retractable mechanism it is tidy and compact against the wall.This is a fabulous addition to my garden and kennels. I can now without any effort pull the hose down to my kennels at end of the garden and water the flowers on the way down! It saves so much time and effort lifting and carrying buckets of water up and down which I had been doing up to this purchase so I really appreciate this hose.I had a slight issue with it after buying but customer service was brilliant and rectified the issue without any fuss. This counts for a lot and is always something I look for in a company. Would and have recommended to people and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again as it is reasonably priced for the quality of the hose.

I bought this to replace a hoselock reel that it had for years and was getting stiff to pull out, and tended to stick and was difficult to rewind. I was hoping this would be an improvement, but it's not easy to pull out and makes a strange whining noise when using it to water my garden planters.Reading the instructions, it says to pull out the hose first and then turn the water on. Surely the hose will still be full of water next time it's used. The hoselock one was a good reliable tool for me, wondering if I've made a big mistake. After using the hose next morning, I've removed it and returned it and ordered a hoselock one instead. This would have been ok if my garden was smaller and on one level, but in my large two level garden it was a right pain.
