Be sure to soak
I am very impressed with the quality and flavor of this product.I soaked over night, rinsed and then brought to a boil, reduced to simmer and slow cooked for 2 hours.I took 1 part of the Jobs Tears to 3 parts water for the cooking process.I have been eating as a hot breakfast cereal. I take a portion of my cooked product, warmed up, added fresh berries, added small amount of coconut milk and sprinkled with cinnamon.

Such low quality product at a high price- Avoid this company/seller
"The Job's Tear I received was low-quality and appeared old. It lacked any expiration or production dates, and the company refuses refunds or returns. This is unacceptable, and Amazon should reconsider allowing this seller on the marketplace.

Not a good substitute for barley
You get about 1 1/2 cups from this vacuum packed Jobs Tears "grain". Cooked it for 35-40 minutes and still a bit tough to chew. Leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Going to try soaking it in sauces to see what happens to the taste. So far...not something I will buy again.
