The Aquacrest filter fits perfectly. My concern is the filtering effectiveness because water comes through this filter much faster with more pressure than the more expensive filters.

I buy these filters for my mom's kitchen sink. They definitely make her well water taste better. They filter really well, never leak, and fit perfectly.

Not a direct replacement for OEM filter
I own a Moen under sink water filter system. This filter was/is advertised as a direct replacement for the Moen cartridge that came with the system. Given that you get 2 of these (generic) filters for roughly the same price as a Moen brand filter - I thought this was a no brainer. After the quick and easy installation of both the filter and the included coin battery, the first thing that we discovered was that the water pressure increased significantly. Seemed weird. But the real issue was that the water that came out was so cloudy that it looked like milk. Yes, I ran it for 15 minutes upon initial installation. I continued to run it for 1 week until the wife said, " you have to fix this, its gross looking." Granted if you waited 3 minutes after pouring a glass - the water would turn clear. But people look at you real weird when you hand them what looks like milk when they ask for a glass of water.Finally, I ordered a Moen brand filter 2 days ago (at twice the price) from HD. I installed it this evening and the water pressure dropped right back down to what it was before, and the water was perfectly clear immediately.Cleary this "knock-off" filter is not constructed the same as the manufacture made filter. I'm all about generics when they function the same as the name brand - but this is not the case with this one.
