Easy to cook and delicious
I cooked according to package instructions but it was still under cooked. I found that you do need to add about 2 to three cups of water per 2oz serving size. Then cook it for 20 to 25 minutes to get it tender. I added salt to the water which really flavored the pasta. It was very similar to rice in look and taste. I would purchase this pasta again.

Everything I was craving on keto, so delicious!!
These are amazing! I love everything from Great Low Carb Bread Co. I decided to try just one item before placing a large order, as other low carb "noodles" I've tried were just not very good (weird texture, weird smell, odd flavor.) I've been on a keto diet for about 9 months now and I was really missing pasta, mac n cheese, bagels, etc. Just the ease of making a simple sandwich when I'm in a hurry is fantastic. Their noodles (and bread products) are delicious and even my non-keto husband agrees. So far, I have tried the orzo (great for making risotto or as a rice substitute), fettuccine, elbow (made mac n cheese), rotini (made a pasta salad) and spaghetti. I have also tried their everything bagels and plain white bread. (see my Instagram - @little.keto.avocado for pics and recipe ideas) I just placed my third large order, they have me hooked. I will be a customer for life!

Texture not like rice.
I was hoping this would be like rice abut was very disappointed. I tried 2times to cook this. 1st time was a mush thought I over cooked. Cooked another serving and same mush. I should have know when I saw product though bag it looked like rice but the visual texture was off. Sadly I can’t return.

Great Rice Substitute
Just as a qualifier, I've tried before: cauliflower, and palmini. If you can cook good it all tastes good. But the question then is how's the texture. This low orzo carb beats the cauliflower and palmini. It has the most rice like texture and shape. It holds its shape pretty well. It has more of a mush texture when biting into it rather than a gummy texture you get from chewing rice and then again some rice even varies in this factor. On the other hand, the cauliflower rice has no texture and is noticeably a vegetable. And so is the palmini, it's like diced cooked carrots. However, all can be satisfying if cooked right and help with a diet. From my photo for instance, it's actually a mixture of orzo and white rice that I cooked into a fried rice (its the larger rice shape individual grains). I found that visually one 8oz packet of the orzo roughly equals 16oz cooked white rice. Doubling the volume while not doubling the grams of carbs. Each rice sub can be enjoyed like this strategically, however on its own as a plain white rice, the Orzo is best - although noticeably not white rice.I love this item because it's low carb and high protein. And in my experience has done the best job replicating white rice, but it's too pricey. If my plan is to just mix it with regular white rice to increase the volume while cutting the carbs then I rather just do cauliflower rice as it's the most affordable.Would I recommend? Yes. Would I buy again? Yes, but not as often as I would like. In fact, I'm searching for thr next alternative.

Great rice substitute
I loved this orzo pasta y cooked per box instructions, I did small amounts at a time and mixed it with cauliflower rice the texture of this two combined hits the spot for my rice craving, I drained all the water out of the cauliflower rice and sautéed the orzo and cauliflower rice together, season to your liking, it was great

Decent Rice Substitute. Needs More Cooking.
This review is for the GLCBC Low Carb Pasta Rice Orzo, which was surprisingly decent, given that their other pasta products were so intolerable. I could never give a 5 star review for a rice substitute (nothing will be a perfect substitute), but I was reasonably happy with this product (orzo rice), and would purchase again. I also dropped a star rating because of expense. I did have to cook it much longer than the 8-10 minutes recommended. I had to cook it 30 minutes before it lost that "chalky" texture, but it was still firm enough, not mushy. And I had to heavily season to give it some decent flavor for my dish (more than normal rice). We used it in a chicken and rice dish and we ate it, instead of throwing it out, like we did with the GLCBC fettuccine.(Note: See my separate 1 star review for products contained in the 4 Pack Assortment Low Carb Pasta, Fettuccine, Rotini, Penne, and Elbows by GLCBC.)

Surprisingly delicious
I bought this for the first time and absolutely loved it. Per suggestions, I did let it cook a little more and it was perfect. I will buy again

Be careful
I was hoping to find a substitute for rice, something a diabetic could eat, this is not it. The carb count can't be accurate, as my blood glucose soared to 200 after eating a small portion of this. It is no different than regular rice IMO. I caution any diabetic looking for a replacement to be cautious when trying this, it is not the tasty alternative you are hoping for. Will not buy again.
