UPDATE to review- there was unfortunately a defect with this coffee maker. It was going to be more complicated going thru krups to send it to them, have them evaluate it before deciding if they'd repair it before sending it back to us. With Amazon it was very easy, uncomplicated good customer service where they will send a replacement and I return this defective one. Amazon continues to make us feel confident in buying thru them. Now I really hope this second krups coffee maker work well. We had high hopes with the krups name, especially with this high price. And at this point I do think we I wr paid. Probably should have chose a different coffee maker *** I really like this coffee maker. Appearance is very nice, easy to clean. And with other coffee makers where the burner usually is with other, that area chips away eventually due to the daily heating. With this being the karaf that continues the heating, takes that problem away. We haven't had this long, and so far love it. Things I've noticed -This is actually a 12 cup, not a 14 cup but I'm ok with that. Only other issue we're trying to figure out, first time using it, it shut off multiple times and we'd have to restart it. That has happened only once more since then as we're using it daily for a month now. We read thru instructions but cannot find what would cause that. If you know please comment

Only had for a short time, but ( I LOVE this coffee maker!!) Had the 5 cupper before, but got tired of the lid constantly closing on my hand and having to lift it back up to add water or grounds and finally broke it ! That wasn’t the only problem; the warming plate was way too hot and would burn the coffee up before I could get a second cup! So did this mean it wasn’t brewing at the right temperature either?(Took me a while to figure out what was wrong!) It also didn’t have an auto off function. Didn’t really need a 10 cuper but It went on sale for $20 dollars off and I couldn’t resist!!This coffee maker is highly recommended.

Coffee maker is good…matched the description as written. I received it with a missing rubber foot. I did not return it or contact the manufacturer, I just fixed it with a piece of eraser I had laying around. Also, the hood where you add water doesn’t stay open while adding water…kind of annoying but the coffee maker does work. I could have gone with a cheaper brand but I probably would have received something much worse. It also comes with a metal re-useable filter. Coffee maker looks great and makes great tasting coffee though…ha ha!

I recently decided to try a new 5 cup coffee brewer. I had been using a Cuisinart which I liked, but I wanted to try out a different machine. I started with the newer version of the Cuisinart. I was using (5 cup).I liked it well enough, but I didn’t love the form factor. So I tried out this Krups coffee maker.I much prefer it!It’s a much smaller footprint. It’s very simple and ergonomically, It just works as it should. I like the fact the carafe is glass so you can see how much coffee is left. I like the feel of the carafe handle more than the Cuisinart. The handle is bigger and more comfortable. I like the construction of the coffee holder basket. It’s clean and well-made. I like the water level indicator on the right side and the power button which very clearly indicates when it is on or off. It brews very quickly And does an excellent job. Another plus of this unit is that the heating tray is a little bit hotter than the one I was using previously. And it keeps the remaining coffee at a perfect temperature.So now I am a huge fan of Krups. So much so that I decided to get their new GX450 coffee grinder. I’m loving that too. It works really well and it is super cool looking. 😊So all in all, I highly recommend this crops 5 cup coffee maker it’s perfect! 👍🏻

A high quality coffee maker…small, but packs a big punch. Looks high-end on my countertop. The top actually is stainless steel, not plastic that just looks like stainless. The reusable basket is quite handy, and the enclosed coffee scoop was a surprise I did not expect.Keurig coffee pods are becoming quite pricey for us, and for 2 people, I can make a pot of 5 cups of coffee for a fraction of the cost of pods.

Tengo esta cafetera ya hace varios años y les puedo decir que cumple muy bien su función.El tamaño es adecuado para el café en la mañana de 4 personas.No se vé deterioro pronunciado de ninguna parte, todo dentro de lo normal.La cafetera es de calidad.Recomiendo no llenar la cesta donde se pone el café molido hasta el borde, porque salpica todo dentro y se vuelve un desastre para limpiar por dentro.Si requieres una cafetera pequeña, creo la encontraste. Recomiendo 100%

Sleek and stylish. Had all the bells and whistles I wanted in a coffee maker. Coffee tasted fine, no complaints about quality of the brew or the time it took to make a full pot. The pot, though, was slightly smaller than I anticipated. Not all "12 cups" are measured the same, and this is a bit egregious.The touchbuttons on the front - not always easy to depress. Had to press a bit harder than I wanted, but then sometimes it would recognize accidental light touches. And the programming was a bit challenging to remember what button does what (labeling isn't the greatest).The brew basket was easy to overfill with water, so the design allows it to short circuit itself out of operation. But it died after 1 week, so returned it. Too bad, I like the Krups brand but had to move on.

I ordered three coffee makers from Amazon within the month. This is the only one I’m keeping. The first two were unbelievable garbage. This only gets four stars because of a design flaw. It’s a little thing, but it’s annoying. The lid doesn’t stay up when you lift it so when you want to pour your water in or put coffee in your filter, you have to hold the lid up. And it does not have auto shut off, which I find to be important. I would recommend this.
