I love this chime for classroom use! Clear sound, cuts through the room but isn't harsh and doesn't hurt the ears. Pleasant sound and kids respond to it. Lightweight, durable, and cute!

Nice sound! I think it's fun to just "ding" it. What's neat is when my two parakeets start fighting or arguing, the ding will quiet them down and they quit fighting! It is well made and I love that the hammer stores underneath the tone pipe, which is really very neatly mounted. It looks nice and is a quality product.

A subtle sound and easy to use, but just not as pretty "sounding" as I was hoping.

As a teacher, classroom management can be an interesting challenge to overcome. After seeking advice from a fellow teacher, I was recommended to try this chime. My friend had shared that she had been using it for years, and had more success managing her elementary students. As a secondary educator, I was a little skeptical...but decided to give it a try.Much to my amazement, not only has using this chime worked SUCCESSFULLY for helping to keep noise to a bare minimum in my classroom, but it has also sparked the interest of my highschoolers! (Many have reported that they think the chime is "cool!") I cannot count the amount of times students have asked if they could ring the chime if the class gets too loud when working on assignments! (haha) My students like the sound, and it INSTANTLY catches their attention. I like how the ring lingers in the air, and how the volume of the chime can be monitored by how hard one strikes it.After using this chime for 1 and 1/2 weeks, I have noticed that volume control is no longer an issue in my classroom. Students recognize that the chime serves as a warning of volume getting too high, and they automatically begin to quiet down as soon as they see it.
