Seem Very Strong and Well Made
These were delivered yesterday. I was so excited I installed them as soon as I got home from work. Very easy with a socket wrench and portable drill to make a starter hole for the supplies lag bolts. Was done in no time and had my boat sitting away from the dock in under and Hour. I would imagine they will last as they seem very sturdy. I also like that they come apart in two to store in garage for the winter. Came with rope and everything needed. Packed neatly and arrived box undamaged. If they hold up, I'm happy!Just wish mine came with those add on tie-off cleats, but oh well.

Great Whips!
These whips are great! I wasn’t familiar with the tensioner setup from what I had seen on friend’s whips but they seem like they work well. Super easy to install but make sure you bring the right socket!

NOT FOR USE IN TIDAL AREAS!!!
There needs to be a better description about what these mooring whips will do. I live on a river where the tide varies anywhere between two and 4 feet. These whips are not made for that. They need Rockers.I called the manufacturer to see whether or not I could purchase rockers to work with the specific whips. There is no one to speak with. You can only send an email. Email was sent. No response.

We got a new pontoon boat. These poles keep the boat from bouncing off of the pier when other boats go by.

Mooring whips
Should have installed last year. No longer have to worry about boat hitting dock due to passing boat wake.

missing parts
As per the Mooring whip installation instructions on the Dock Edge web site The mooring whips kit was suppose to include " 2 each Pole Cleat assembly (2 pc) " . These were not included in the kit. The box that the kit was shipped in arrived in torn and taped condition but nothing seemed broken so I did not contact you to comment on the as received condition. When I finally got around to installing the whips yesterday I found that the pole cleat assemblies were not in the package. Could you please forward the pole cleat assemblies or advise what I should do with the mooring whips as right now they are not usable.

Metal better than fibre glass.
Does a good job....but very expensive. I noticed that the top part is made of a metal blend rather thanfibre glass. I believe it's better and a lot lighter.
