I like these wide-lipped thermos because I can fit chili, soup, etc. enough for a filling lunch. For example, I fit 16 Oz can of soup and had room to spare. Easy to clean as the opening is as wide as the container. Very pretty as well.

My current job doesn't have a microwave available so I was stuck eating cold lunches or having to buy food every day. I'm happy to be back to brown bagging with this thermos. You do have to heat the food up in a different container before sealing it in here, but it stays warm the whole day! So far I've eaten 6 hours after sealing and my lunch was still warm and delicious. The thermos is also easy to clean and I appreciate that every piece comes apart to make sure nothing gets stuck in the crevices. This means nothing gets stinky over time! It has a well thought out design and works wonderfully. I'll be buying more for backups!

If you need a food jar with great thermo insulation, this is a good choice. We have another one at 1/3 of the cost. In the low cost model, the outside feels warm with hot food and food cools to warm after 3 hours, despite the claim of keeping food hot for 12 hours. In comparison, this one has a cold outside surface with hot water in and stays hot after 8 hours.

I bought it for my mom, Cuz she like to have hot food than the cool. She said it does keep her soup hot over night and she would recommend it to her friends.

I did not expect this to work so well. I travel a lot for work and use this for soups. One time it kept my food warm until I opened it the next day, more than 12-15 hours, and for at least 8 of those hours it was in the fridge. That's amazing! It was not as worm as I would've liked, and I ended up throwing that food away because it had been at that temperature for too long and I was concerned about bacterial growth since it was probably below the food safe temperature (140°), but I was amazed that it had stayed warm while in the refrigerator.

Grew up in a household that uses Zojirushi tumblers, food jars and stackable food containers. Not once has this brand failed in its intended purpose and functionality. I didn't have any issue (as indicated by some buyers) with the top lid cover always coming unscrewed or have difficulty removing it from its main lid-base for cleaning or releasing pressure. No paint peeling or chipping from its exterior wall. Cleaning is easy along with disassembling/reassembling all attachment pieces; only hand wash it with soft sponge and drying with paper towel to prevent water droplet stains/potential rusting.Freshly made soup filled at 07:20 AM: 162.7 °F (No preheating interior w/hot water needed)By 02:50 PM (7.5 hrs later): 135.1°F

Looks nice, holds the temperature. Have it for 1,5 yrs. However, Thermos brand holds temperature much better - another 3-5 hours

I love these food jars so much, I bought 3 more after my initial purchase. It keeps food warm all day and even cooks food - if you decide that you want to make ramen in it, pour boiling hot water into it, then drop in your ramen later and let it cook for 3 minutes. Be careful though with certain foods - for example, since it's insulated, a medium rare steak that sits in the food jar could be cooked to medium/medium well by the time you start eating lunch.
