13,000btu Portable Air Conditioner (Dual-hose System)

I purposely waited a good while to write this so that I would more genuinely know how well it works. I'm pleased to say that we've had it for almost a year and it's working wonderfully! We don't use it every night by any means....in fact, maybe only two month's worth of nights altogether thus far, so I won't speak for constant use. We've surprisingly never had the unit shut off or need to be emptied because of condensation (living in a very humid area.) Also, the main complaint I've read (and that we had as well) is the small, plastic pieces attached to the hoses meant to clip onto the plastic window slider. These are pretty useless and broke on us the second time we used it. HOWEVER, I will not rate this entire AC unit badly when all we had to do was drill small holes into each side of those hose ends, as well as the window slider--- then pop a ziptie through each one and it works perfectly! There is nothing wrong with the unit itself--- just cheap plastic pieces on the one part. I understand it's frustrating, and for this price it shouldn't be that way..But the unit cools us SO well in a large bedroom, that I'm too thankful and pleased with it to be upset about that. I would still pay the price all over again for the convenience and power of this unit, that can be used through a screen and with slider Windows. I absolutely recommend it!

Worked great to cool our bedroom while it lasted. The hose fastening clips broke at some point during the second year, and the whole unit stopped working completely the next summer. For the price (over 600), I would have expected it to last quite a bit longer.

Almost a year later, and my frustration has reached a new level. The lousy plastic hooks that are supposed to hold the intake/exhaust hoses in place and connected to the unit are all broken just from basic setup - NOT due to any excessive wear/tear or moving the unit around. I shouldn't have to duct tape parts together. Customer service from the manufacturer is nonexistent. I called last year after the product arrived and appeared to have leaked coolant during shipping and received NO response. Trying to contact them again for repair, and still no response. I regret not returning this unit within the 30 day window after purchase as it has proven to be a complete waste of money. Pick any other manufacturer to meet your portable AC needs.

It took a long time to cool the room down and even then I couldn't get cold enough however, this could just be my own issue as I run hot!

Well, it definitely cools my bedroom pretty fast. But it's huge and noisy. The installation kit is ridiculous - you need to have a saw to fit it to some windows!

I specifically chose this model due to the fact that it has a two hose exhaust system. The master bedroom where this is installed really doesn't have the room to allow for drainage from a normal system that simply condenses out the moisture from the air. Barring extreme humidity this is as close as you're going to get to a system that requires no condensation drain. Cools extremely well in a 30x20 master bedroom on a top floor with poor a/c circulation. And no fighting with taking it out of the window at the end of the season!

This is a great air conditioner, It is very quiet and cools my room very well.

Impressive machine. I live in Texas and have a bonus room over the garage and this thing really cools it down...
