This Finish dishwasher salt is about the best of the available brands. It's easy to use and doesn't contain a lot of salt "dust" like I have found with other brands. My only complaint is that it's expensive. The packaging certainly isn't fancy, and it's just salt, so it seems overpriced.

If your tap water is even slightly hard, you can't go wrong adding dishwasher salt. Plus helps with the cleaning no end
