Dampens sound but only to a certain degree. Don’t expect it to be extremely noise cancelling or anything

The curtain effectively deadens sound although it doesn’t eliminate it, just as stated. It came with all needed hardware to hang. Other people mentioned loose threads, they are correct, but my curtain had few so I knotted and buried them inside the curtain. Satisfied with purchase.

I use this to cover my bedroom window at night as I live on a first floor apartment and everyone's a/c units are just a few feet below it. It's not a sound deadening blanket, of course, so it's not 100% but it drastically reduces the noise and softens it in a way that makes it blend into the unnoticeable background for the most part. Combined with some lighter noise reducing curtains it I have found some peace at night in an apartment I thought I made a huge mistake with when I couldn't sleep a wink the first night here! lol.

This has made a difference for sure I used it in between my curtains and has helped with the outside noise for sure as we have noisy neighbors n this has helped for sure as well as helped keep the room cool now that it's summer time! We have these crappy trailer storm windows n it truly has mad a difference

At most it sort of maybe reduces sound a small amount. It also has a very strong smell for like a week. You have to put nails through it to get it to stay on the wall tightly. Just hanging it from the grommets won't reduce any noise.

Nothing special about the sound quality.
