So, I noticed there were quite a few negative reviews and I decided to take an $18 chance. My order arrived today, way faster than normal considering the current events, and I was genuinely interested in finding out myself what the quality was. I got the can, and immediately looked underneath for the "best buy" date. It was 08 05 2021, so that was 80% of the game right there. Popped the foil lid...and this lid is heavy, not cheap foil you find on many peanut cans...and I heard a loud "SHHHWUP!" as it opened the can, revealing the peanuts.Yeah, I dove in. What, you think I'm just going to set the can aside? Hek no!Those buttery peanuts tasted amazing! Went through 1/3 of the can just today, but it was worth it.So, go ahead and order these. Like anything, there are bad batches that get caught in the large system of Amazon's warehouses.P.S. The peanuts were in great shape, and were NOT torn apart like other reviewers experienced.

I know it was delivered, because I found the empty can, It must have been good because it was a empty can. It must have been 18 oz because that is what the can holds. The can must have been fresh because it was emptied pretty fast. other than all that it's a nice looking can except it should hold more, then I might have found it in time to at least get some for myself.

The ad copy says this peanut brittle is made of BUTTER, SUGAR and PEANUTS.The printing on the tin says in the order of amount: CORN SYRUP tastless and not easy to metabolize, turns directly to fat. SUGAR PEANUTS So no butter and it is tasteless, even the peanuts. The Copy on AMAZON is simply untrue. I will ask for a refund. It’s just awful at gourmet prices

Delicious. These are the only real honey roasted nut, ever since planters decided to abandon us. What happened to those guys. It's shameful. First they completely emasculated Mr. Peanut, but then they tried to kill him and replace him with a baby Mr peanut. Who do they think they are (I am).These are great, but the problem is this can (although large) is only enough for one session. Certainly not enough to share. I ate a bunch of them (like 4 hand fulls in quick succession) one time, and it gave me the grumbles. First thing in the morning too, before work. That was my fault though, not the nuts. Anyway, just do yourself a favor and buy 2. At least.

We have eaten peanuts as our Happy Hour snack for 20 years. Been there done that. VA Diner is our favorite. Just the right amount of salt, huge nuts, pleasant fresh peanut taste. Feridie's and The Peanut Shoppe are much the same. All of these way better than Kirkland and Planter's Jumbo Virginia. And in a different category entirely, Planter's Dry Roasted are pretty darn good. Smaller, crunchier with an addictive seasoning..#1) Virginia Diner right taste right salt a little pricey#2) Feridie's a bit saltier but very similar#3) The Peanut Shoppe with almost no salt but available from a national liquor store locally so a plus for geography#4) Kirkland proves sometimes Costco is just cheaper not better#5) Planter's Virginia we bought them at Sam's Club in a pinchUpdate 1: Just ordered another can. I think we have found our true nut.Update 2: Just got another in time for Happy Hour tonight. Nutz to you this holiday season.

The last 3 orders have delivered Salt and Pepper peanuts instead of the Cajun. Even the “free” replacement was incorrect. Don’t know what the problem is but will not order again!

There is a logo on the can, 1929. Silly me, for I thought that was when the company is founded. Now that I've received and opened the product, I suspect that it's really when this batch of brittle was made. It was stale and all the pieces were broken up - sort of like the bottom of a potato chip bag. A handful of pieces about th4e size of a half-dollar, but all the rest around the size of a dime. I love peanut brittle but perhaps I need to find a local maker who can and will sell me fresh product. When I first ordered, I considered getting a subscription for a can-a-month or so. Glad I only bought one.

Winner of best peanut Award. Each year I give out an award for the best of whatever I feel like. I am an overeater. Hands down Virginia Diner Peanuts are the largest most crunchy peanut out there. The contender was the Williamsburg Peanut Shop. My roommate and I put these side by side and the quality difference is obvious. V Diner Peanuts are the best. So if you are paying oz of oz and they are the same, buy VDiner Peanuts.My father turned me on to these many years ago. They are the best...
