Great industrial barcode scanner
I tried the Alacrity MJ-2020 Barcode Scanner and here is my review.Overall it it worked good though when the barcodes are close together it sometimes reads the wrong barcode even though the red light indicator is on the correct label. It seems to read from the top of the light even though the red laser is at the center of the light so you think the middle barcode will be read but it still scanned the higher barcode rather than the one with the light.Other than this it worked very well in all testing/use. More specifically:The packaging and feel of the scanner is good. Obviously plastic, but grip and trigger are comfortable. The stand worked great and I appreciated that it is positioned/angled for easy pick up and put down of the scanner. A similar model we has the scanner leaning face forward toward you rather than away from you (as this one does) so you always have to flip the scanner before putting it into the dock which is not intuitive so I am glad this one I can just pick up and put down naturally. In terms of the bluetooth, I was able to walk around a large room and the blue tooth worked well even with two walls / floor to ceiling partitions in between so this seemed good.I was surprised at the numerous default automatic beeps and buzzes. Seemed a bit much at times the number of beeps combined with buzzes but got used to it. For example when it wakes up it is 2-3 beeps and a buzz rather than just one beep which would be enough to know that it is awake. Or the beep when it goes to sleep, seems unnecessary by default since you aren't using it and all of a sudden it beeps and you wonder why for a moment as you haven't touched it.When I started scanning barcodes rapidly one after the other I got some incorrect scans but no more so than other barcode scanners where we do the same thing.I appreciated the numerous prefixes that could be added to the scan. I needed this on another model but it only had a few options whereas this one has many many possible prefixes and character sets which is great. I got slightly confused at how it was laid out in the manual and scanned the wrong sequence first because there were two "Add Prefix" scan barcodes and I didn't catch that one was for control characters and one was for display characters. But after this it worked great.Overall it is a great barcode scanner.

Impressive!
I really like this scanner! It feels really nice to hold and it's got pretty impressive reading capabilities. The only reason I'm rating it lower is because it sometimes doesn't scan the entire barcode and will submit half of it, leading to incorrect product scans. It also turns itself off pretty quickly and it's a bit loud.

Nice but donāt work well
very beautiful but very delicate and the battery does not work well, it is wireless but it is more what you have to connect when before it can be used

GREAT! Scanner
The Alacrity 433BT wireless scanner has one of the best handheld scanners I have used in the past.I used this scanner paired via Bluetooth and USB to my computer to test and perform some database updates within my current environment. As with any dusty warehouse this scanner instantly captured the most problematic barcodes I currently have without any hesitation. Once an item was scanned, the correct item popped up in my SQL data files without a hitch.I used this scanner with a Windows 10 laptop, plugged the scanner in via the supplied USB cable and I was off scanning once I setup the codes that were available in the booklet to meet my needs. The setup out of the box was plain and simple. You basically plug the unit in and off you go.PROS: The Good Stuff1. The wireless feature makes this unit nice and portable.2. Can be either wall or countertop mountable.3. Includes base, battery and USB cable (USB for Charging).4. There are multiple codes to setup including pairing, multiple scan modes, plus a plethora of others available.6. You can set an inclusive scanning which I used a lot.7. The inside of the unit is well built and very rugged.8. The scanner is accurate to about 12 inches.9. This handheld scanner has nice weight distribution across the device which makes it easier to handle while scanning.CONS: Things to Think About1. This unit performed very well and there are no CONS I can think of at the moment. I can update any info as needed in the future if needed.I enjoyed using and testing this handheld scanner in various situations in my small working environment. For the price point of this unit, I don't think you would do any better or worse with a more expensive device. If you are looking into scanning in your near future, I would recommend giving this unit a definite try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Solid, very durable, Bluetooth, and has a ton of easy to program settings.
This is the first scanner I have owned. It feels solid and well-made. I wanted a scanner for a couple of different reasons. I have a very extensive tool collection and people are always borrowing stuff that I never end up seeing again. I used this to make an inventory of my tools so I can easily identify who has what. I also got it because I want to start selling online again and figured this would come in handy. I used to type in barcodes and UPCs by hand and that can take forever when you have a lot of products to list. I will admit that I am still learning every time I use this scanner. I am pretty tech savvy, I got this doing what I need it to do but there are so many settings. To change settings and options on this unit. Programming it is easy, you can scan the codes that came included in the user manual. After fully charging this scanner I had it paired with my tablet very quickly. I also tried it out with my laptop. It worked great with both. If you already have knowledge of working with these scanners then you know what you are doing. If you are new to this like me the best thing you can do is read the entire manual and just play around with it until you find the setting and options that fit your needs. I won't bother getting into the technical stuff because the description can explain all of that better than I can. I can tell you that this product is very durable. It is pretty easy to set up but there is a lot to learn. If you are in the market for a barcode scanner I recommend you give this a try.
