iPod Adapter Compatibility
I have an Audi with an older stereo that has a port for the old iPod 30-pin connector. I bought a proper adapter to connect from the iPod connector to a lightning connector, and then used this cable as an extension so I wouldn’t need to put my phone in the glove box of my car every time I connect my phone. Works great with the other adapter, no compatibility issues.

Not great fit on male plug
I had one of these before, and after it failed, I got another one of the same brand.I noticed that the male end of the plug has much more wiggle than the Apple branded charge cable. It doesn't seem to "seat" in the same secure way.I can't tell if that is why the other one failed. Time will tell with this one.UPDATE: Time told. It failed after 6 weeks. I looked at the connector tab and it looked like the metal elements were damaged by insertions, even though I am very gentle with it. I don't know if this is cause by the poor geometry of the lightning plug or the housing, or if it is poor materials. I won't be getting another one of this brand.

Bought to use as jumper to phone for Topdon thermal camera
My iPhones are never outside of a lifeproof case. The moment they are purchased, that becomes their forever home. That said, the port size limits what can be plugged into the phone. This cable fit perfectly and has been working beautifully from the first time. I am able to use the thermal imaging system I purchased without any concern of dropping my phone while wiggling into position in an attic or other less than friendly environment. The cord length is okay, but I would prefer longer options. The connector on either side feels a bit loose, but it works and I use a rubber band to bind the camera to the cord a bit more. Overall, happy with my purchase
