Definitely Not OEM
Looks like OEM, feels like OEM, but they don’t fit like OEM.First, I bought a cheap off-road windscreen that turned to be a pain to assemble. Then I installed these brackets. Surprisingly enough, they fit ok in the windscreen… at least the one I bought on Amazon.Second, the brackets don’t come with hardware. Why? It’s only 4 screws! If you don’t happen to have hardware on hand, you’ll have to use it from your other windscreen or buy new screws. I switch windscreens depending on what I do, so I did not want to switch hardware, and it just so happens I had it on hand. I would pay more for something that includes the hardware.Third, the bracket will not fit like OEM on the motorcycle. The distance between the edge of the boss to the screw is a little too long. It doesn’t take much! I was able to make it fit, but there’s a trick. Start one side with a few threads, then start the other side. Screw them alternatively once started, or once you have the first one started, screw the other side all the way down. But if you screw once side all the way before starting the other, you’ll likely cross thread that screw. What that does though is it puts a little side load on the edge of the hole on the motorcycle bracket. Not happy about that and I don’t want to oblong the hole on the bike either. But that’s what happens when you buy cheap.Frankly, I’ve had better result on other knockoffs than this one. If you don’t care about paying twice as much, or more, for a reputable brand, I would suggest you buy that one. I doubt this will ever be fixed at the manufacturer as they would have to redesign the injection molding tool.I gave it two stars because I was actually able to make it work. But what a pain! And don’t lose the screw that secures it to the bike. Happens once in a while, and this time it took me 10 minutes to find it.
