So many fakes - this is legit
Until I finally did some research, I was hesitant to venture back into buying olive oil again. Was so amazed at how much counterfeiting occurs in olive oil (but I wasn’t surprised).I have been using Ai more and more to do research on many of my purchases and thought, hell, why not explore olive oil, specifically Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO).I first started by finding what was in my price point and this product came up. You can pay a lot for EVOO but I just wanted something that was genuine, flavorful and at a reasonable price point.Been using this as a drinker (about 2 tablespoons per day) and it doesn’t disappoint. Has a peppery finish which I learned is a hallmark of legit EVOO.Moved up to the largest bottle because the value is exceptional. I went through the medium bottle in about 2 months as I use it for all my cooking needs. I treat all vegetable and seed oils as the poison that they are so this product replaces all of those. No doubt there are more premium brands out there, but for the price point and the direct sale from Atlas, I’m way too satisfied to experiment. Comes in the dark GLASS bottle you would expect and is overpacked for safe shipping.

It's the Magic Elixir!!!
It's liquid gold and lives up to the hype about polyphenols 100% !!! I'm Sardinian/American and found this brilliant oil researching the reasons why, on Sardinia, the residents have such long, healthy lives. I've used store bought olive oil all my adult life but I can honestly say, I have never tasted what it is meant to be until my first bottle of this oil. I'm 64 so that's saying something! Last February, I began taking a tablespoon of the oil everyday in addition to using it for cooking and baking everything. By May, I began to notice how much better I felt- my stiff, achy neck and knees were flexible and pain free!! I can squat, bend, reach for things and turn my head better than ever and I can't believe it! If that wasn't enough, my skin is absolutely glowing. I've never been a fan of The Sun but my skin was thinner, crepey and looked its age. I really am amazed by the transformation since taking the oil, it's smooth and soft without needing any moisturizer. It also has the shine of healthy skin. Atlas olive oil is the best tasting and most effective skincare product I've ever used and I am a customer for life!!!!

It’s got the good peppery property that indicates it’s a very good oil.
How do you know which Olive Oil to buy for medicinal purposes? I have been wanting to try a daily dose of olive oil for health purposes but I’ve read there are a lot of specifics to look for on the labels. It’s confusing. I bought one bottle from the grocery store and I couldn’t use it. Yuk. I read about this olive oil on a different Amazon review and decided to take my chances. I’m glad I did! The flavor is smooth. One noteworthy item I’ve read about is the good olive oil will be peppery. This doesn’t taste peppery but it does burn my throat. This is a good sign. So I just chase my twice daily spoonful with some water and that eliminates the burn. It’s packed well so it won’t break or leak. The bottle is a beautiful dark green glass to help preserve the integrity of the oil.

Slightly disappointed
After reading the reviews, I was excited to try this. I've been searching for a replacement for the Tunisian organic unfiltered chetoui olive oil discontinued by Trader Joe's about 2 years ago. This, sadly, will not fill that void. It does taste very grassy, a little buttery, but there was hardly a tingle of peppery bite at all. From the reviews I have to conclude that this oil is, at best, inconsistent. My first taste even had a faint hint of rancidity, to the point that I searched the bottle for a date. It was just made in April, so hard to believe it would be bad already. I didn't detect it in the second taste, so maybe there was a drop or two caught in the spout that aged quickly? The grassiness is very prominent, and it's too much for my husband, but it just leaves me nostalgic for my discontinued super buttery peppery favorite.
