Nobody Makes it like Zoey
I removed about 90% of the stuffing to get a pretty darn flat pillow with sufficient cervical support for my neck. I don't need 8" of support; I don't want to crank my neck in any sleeping position. Inside the texturized case is another case, also washable, with a zipper that holds the stuffing. The stuffing is a mixture of memory foam chunks and some SUPER soft filler-like fuzz. The combination makes for a pillow that can hug you no matter how you sleep. If you are a back sleeper, you can move the stuffing around to be the ideal support for your neck while your head can be truly in alignment with your rib cage and hips. The sides of the pillow can then be squished to hold your head snug from rolling to either side and provide wonderful sound deadening to lawnmowers, children, traffic, TV, etc. I can put in my noise-canceling earbuds with the pillow squished next to each ear, and I'm transported into a power nap.Side sleeping is also great. You can mold your Zoey pillow around your contours to support your neck, jaw, and shoulder, and, depending on the level of stuffing, you can maintain a straight alignment of your spine.Stomach sleepers benefit too because sometimes you need to sleep like you are falling off a cliff or you're frozen in climbing up-reaching-for-the-perfect-peach-on-the-tree position. This is the pillow for you because the pillow will wrap you anywhere you need support. The small memory foam chunks will clump together and stay, under your neck, around your shoulder, and maybe down your ribcage if you angle the pillow. You can arrange different levels of stuffing for different purposes. Maybe a standard pillow for your head and a king-size for a body pillow with a different level of stuffing. These pillows are truly customizable. They look almost like normal pillows and will fit in regular pillowcases, but I have to say I am sold on the satin pillowcase for my easy-to-frizz hair. Finally, everything is washable! So these pillows are easy to keep clean. The outer case is washable, and the internal case holding the stuffing is also washable. I'd bet the inner stuffing is also washable and could be hand-washed inside the inner case. Being washable is a life-saver for keeping allergens out. Washing kills dust mites and removes dander, dead skin, oils, and all of that.Edit 7/12/23 I will add that their customer service is pretty darn good, too -- you can get to a real person and they follow-up.

Amazing Pillow
I have suffered for many years from neck and shoulder pain especially at night. As a side, and sometimes back, sleeper it has been very challenging to find a pillow that didn't cause more pain and exacerbate the situation. My insurance company even paid (in full) for a special pillow but it didn't help.Recently I got caught up in a worm hole of investigating pillows and reviews on many different sites which eventually led to me ordering this pillow. I was hopeful, especially since I had never spent this much on a pillow before. The following represents my experience, mistake and eventual success with this pillow. When the pillow arrived I opened it up and was met with a strong chemical smell. Because I wanted to try it out that night I sprayed it with some Febreze to mask the odor and zipped it up in my allergy proof pillow protector and threw on a pillow case (note, the pillow does come with its own zippered pillow protector but I wasn't sure if it was allergy proof so I put mine on top of that one). I could tell that the cut out (curved shape) was helpful as it allowed my shoulder to rest on the mattress while the pillow supported my head and neck. The negative (and this was entirely my fault I later learned) was that the pillow was way too firm. I woke up in the morning without my shoulders aching but with some ache in my neck and head from the firmness of the pillow. This went on for several nights until, out of curiosity, I decided to actually read the included informational page. The pillow came with a blue fabric bag which I had thought was odd because it certainly wasn't a pillowcase so I had tossed it aside along with the directions. After reading the paper I realized that the pillow arrives with too much stuffing and you have to "unstuff" it to the level of softness you want. The fabric bag it came with has markings on it for unstuffing the pillow to make it either "firm", "medium", or "soft". I unstuffed it to medium and have slept SO well since doing so.! I highly recommend this pillow for side or back sleepers, the only thing I would do differently is allow the pillow to air out for a day or so before using it to allow the chemical smell to dissapate. The chemical odor did disappear after the first 24 hours.

The Unique Sleeper
The main reason I have been on the lookout for a sleep pillow over the years is that most pillows offer very little support for the unique sleeper. I have a way of hugging myself when I sleep on my side, and after many years have developed a stiffness in the neck and tightness in my shoulder blades. Like so many of the reviews here, I have spent time and energy searching for the correct pillow support not to mention the cost of many bodywork treatments. When I saw Zoey Pillow on Amazon it was a leap of faith in yet another product. The postage to Australia cost more than the pillow! And yet after my 30-day trial, I have to say it was worth it. I would say that my Neck and Shoulder blades have softened and released much of the holding pattern I developed over a lifetime by 45%. I have given Zoey 4 stars because their 100 Night Trial does not apply to Amazon Shoppers and I think I would need this amount of time to see the benefit. I have noticed ( I removed quite a bit of the filling as it was too firm for me - this is very easy to do ) that the middle feels a little lumpy and I find myself kneading it into shape during the night. I may need to plump it up with some filling again. I am not a fan of the textured cover or the 2 pointy corners. I have designed my own cover and will round off the corners. In terms of better sleep, I think only time can reveal that truth. For now I am happy with my investment.
