Works extremely well!
Heavenly peace and quiet. Our house had traditional house phone and lately getting more and more robocalls. The last day before ordering this we had about 30 calls that day. Yes, we are on the do not call list! I researched and found this item for a fair price. As soon as we received it the next day I started installing it. It comes with good installation paperwork and good paperwork that tells you how to set up the program. I love this phone. I felt like I was on vacation it has been so quiet!

Great phone set
Phone work great, love the talking caller ID, helps if your busy you can hear who is calling so if you can't get to the phone they can leave a message 😉. With extra phones can always have one by your seat , when battery gets weak then rotate to a different one. Has several features, very good phones.

Just got this set two days ago am writing to update the info on Amazon
I think I like this phone. It's dense with function. Af first I thought it had no intercom (between the 4 phones in the set we bought) but, as with other pluses you find it "as you travel" through the manual. First thing to do is download the manual to your desktop...believe me you will use it! The booklets (2 actually) that comes with the phone only scratches the surface. Even the digital version isn't as good as it could be. But read you must and you will find answers and fixes. You can store hundreds of names in the directory and it will also hold Call ID names. If it's still usable (as ours was) you can leave one of your old phones plugged in with the answering machine turned off and it will work as an additional location. One thing that's not great is it won't stand up out of the charger...can't imagine why they designed it that way, such an obvious flaw. But...it does have intercom, it does have 1,000 block call ability (YAY), it does have audio assist, it does have handset locator. I'm hoping that they award me a PH.D once I figure out all the options and how to get them on the smart call blocker (2nd booklet), but it's only day two. And yes, the phones do communicate; so although I had to type in all the numbers (there's got to be a better way to do that!) when I was done the other three phones had the directory. I had done all this off-line but plugged them all into wall sockets so that the batteries would charge (it recommends a full day or so). Once they were charged all functions were usable off line. I think it's good value for the money, we loved our Panasonic but it only blocked 250 calls and then I'd delete them all and re-enter as they came back in. These days my credit card, car warranty, "vote for me", "hello grandma" calls are plentiful. Now ... if only my kids would call!Update 6 weeks in use: Buyer beware! I had my Panasonic phone system for 7 years, nary a problem until the sound started to get blurry. It didn't owe me anything and I was sorry to see it die(ish). But...it didn't have the call blocking I needed and AT & T's system works miraculously in blocking calls...really great. But the phones are "lightweight", they don't stand up and only six weeks after I spent hours programming in all my ID numbers and setting up the system one of the four phones lost most of the digital characters on the screen (time, caller # etc). So I called AT & T who walked me through everything I had already done (remove battery and replace 2 minutes later), they declared it a broken phone. But since I bought it from Amazon whose warranty is 4 weeks (!!) they recommended I mail it back to Texas and they would send me a brand new unit (1 phone). The cost to do that was mine (about 15 bucks). Or call Amazon and see if they would send me ONE phone. I began with Amazon who offered to replace the entire system if I mailed it back (mailing cost provided), they would refund my money and I could buy a new system, but they would not provide one phone. This meant I would have REPROGRAM all my #'s and reset the funky blocking system. They did give me an option of $25 credit on my account (I took it), but now I'm wondering if this cheaply made phone group will need replacing in one year or less. I'm not sending the phone back to AT & T as I have no evidence that this problem won't pop up on another of the four extensions and the whole thing will cost as much as I paid for the phone system. (I hooked up my old Panasonic which still works even with the At & T as long as I don't engage the answering machine on the Panasonic). The dead-ish AT & T now lives in my closet shoe box where all wires go to die. At & T got the blocking app perfect, wish they made better hardware. If you find another provider with good blocking make sure the phones are well designed (if you can, certainly they should stand up on a table with out having to be in the charger...that's why they're supposedly "wireless" ! Sorry AT & T I give you a C on this system and don't recommend it.

Got my home phone with call blocker, joyous.
It was a little difficult to set up the star rating for those who do not need to be screened at all. Also there is only room for seven. Hope there is no limit to how many numbers I can block.

Prevents robo and scam calls
This phone stops robo/ computer generated scam calls. When a person calls, they receive a naration that all calls are being scanned by smart call blocker. The person must then say their name and then press the # button, then your call goes through. Computers can't do that, so the annoying calls get stopped.

Acceptable for the price but not perfect
This phone was purchased for my elderly mother. It is of medium difficulty to set up. Especially complicated is the manual entering of phone numbers if your cell phone is older and (I believe) not the right bluetooth vintage. Instructions could be more basic step-by-step. For the most part, the phone works fine with a couple of exceptions: 1) easier manual entering of phone numbers; 2) need more clear instructions on blocking calls; 3) the base is very lightweight and easy to knock over; and, 4) when the phone rings, a voice announces who is calling. However, however! the voice is in an accent and speed that makes it impossible to understand and is more annoying than useful. This part could be remedied by matching the announcement language AND accent to the language selected during set-up. The phone arrived pre-set to English which I assume is the primary purchaser language of this product through Amazon USA. Having this feature be executed so poorly was almost a dealbreaker...and time is running out!
