My dog has been eating this food every day for 12 months after finding out she was sensitive to chicken etc. Never turned her nose up at it, always excited to eat, healthiest she has ever been.

It didnt last 2 months my wife ate it all in a week

Wonderful product my dog is thriving but damaged on delivery or before it was sent? One of the packs was split stank and had to be thrown away

I have ordered this 9 times and had no problems, but this last box was in the corner of my cupboard while I worked through the older ones. Noticed a really awful smell, we searched and couldn't find what it was. Then we opened this box and realised the top two were sealed still and all the 10 under it were open and foul smelling. There is mould and wet food everywhere and it's completely unusable. We didn't realise there were any problems as it definitely arrived not smelling. So I think this could have happened in transit to me. So I've put open dog food in my cupboard for months not realising until the mould and smell was so bad we thought a animal (mouse etc) had died in there!I can't return as we needed to chuck it straight away, and I've had it sat there too long to get a refund. Not happy as this is good food and never had problems before

Not had a problem previously with just chicken, had my usual order in November, next one should have been January, but one arrived in December, didn’t think too much of it, just annoyed they had doubled my order. When I opened it, it wasn’t normal. It was mushy and very pale. My dog wouldn’t go near it, opened another and that was the same. All well within date.I emailed forthglade directly and they very kindly sent me replacements, they asked me to send two packs for them to check, this I have done today, so I hope I get a reply, I can only think it has been stored badly. As I say it was well within date, by the time I packed the two for forthglade today, noticed the food had shrunk away from the edges, not a good sign.I have cancelled all future orders of forthglade through Amazon, I would sooner pay a few pounds more and know it is in good condition.Seems very odd they sent a box a month early, makes me very suspicious that they knew there was something wrong with it. Certainly won’t use for dog food again.

My dog absolutely LOVES Forthglade Wet Meat Trays. ALL flavours exc beef & fish (REALLY stinky, humans!), or the non-carb options. Eats two trays every single day and has done for about ten years now. (Vet told me off for feeding him 3+). Has an occasional dietary issue & gets skin irritations with some foodstuffs (again - Vet - scolding - treats - esp cheap treats). But Forthglade meets his needs, his coat, skin and temperament are great on it, he is very healthy and full of bounce without the hyperactivity of highly coloured dry kibble feeds. Price suits my purse too! The only, sadly consistent, issue is tray seals. NOTHING to do with suppliers but FG themselves. Have used many different suppliers & ALWAYS happens. Tray tops puncture or simply aren't sealed properly & leak, as photo, resulting in delivery of mouldy, wet packets. Come on Forthglade! It's happened for years & you need to sort it. Highly recommend the food otherwise, as does the dog.

Looking forward to trying dog on these as like to support home grown manufacturers, not always easy when dog has dietary needs over and above normal dog food. These looked interesting and were well packed. Once opened is where the problem started. Beef had a very odd smell to it, almost "Off"dog very half hearted with first pack and totally refused second trial. Chicken was a bit better, no weird smell and after some thought and a lot of sniffing, dog accepted it It had been the only one eaten with any enthusiasm. The lamb was a total "no no" hardly any smell and total refusal by dog. The packs look good and the content has a nice high meat ratio with no odd fillers but dog totally refuses most of the flavours. I have to say that there was an unpleasant looking white slime on the base of the meat. I was unable to tell what it was as did not look like fat and certainly was not meat jelly. Shame because I liked the whole ethos of your food. But on the strength of my finding I cannot recommend it.
