Squirrels Laughed Their Heads Off
After the squirrels recovered from laughing, it seems the spikes I installed on my windowsill to deter them have had the opposite effect. Rather than being put off, the squirrels appear to be thoroughly amused by the new challenge. Their acrobatics have reached new heights as they deftly balance on the spikes, showcasing their impressive agility. These little performers have even started using the spikes as convenient perches for holding their seeds. The windowsill has transformed into a stage for their antics, and it's hard not to admire their resourcefulness. While the spikes didn’t serve their intended purpose, they have certainly provided endless entertainment as the squirrels turn a deterrent into their own personal playground.

Perfect for SunSetter awning
I have been looking for spikes as short as these form my Sunsetter awing. Small enough that they don’t hit the rolled fabric.Easy to install with double sided tape and simple to break down to size

Works great
Works great, brids haven't bothered our porch since we put them on the roof braces. Only down side in we can't attach them with the provided holes so we have had to get creative with securing them in place.

So So Effectiveness
I put these on the arms of the brackets that hold my bird feeders to keep the squirrels off of them...moderately to poorly effective. They have kept them from climbing the corner post (6x6) of the pergola where the brackets are installed...I have ordered more to increase the area(s) covered in hopes that may keep them away. These little beggars can jump like Olympic stars...I have to add more to the rails of the deck to keep them away from the feeders. Have installed 2 corn feeders away from the deck in hopes that may draw their attention; and in a perfect world, the attention of a couple of of hawks that are around! I'll post up-dates...11/19/19Update. Installed 8’ of this again yesterday in hopes it would deter the squirrels from raiding the bird feeders ... they walk right over it, sit on it and feast on the feeders. So, while it may work for some, that’s not been the case for me so far.

works
i use these on top of the bird feeder to keep squirrels from jumping directly on the top of the feeder then bending down to steal the seeds lol. Squirrels will find a way but these plastic spikes are just spikey enough that they can't just jump on the feeder anymore. They still find ways to hang on to the edge of the feeder but now they cant hang on forever so it's good enough. Birds were scared for about a week but they're coming back.

Didn't stop the birds from landing.
I have a problem with pigeons and other birds landing on my veranda railing. I got these to try to stop that from happening but when I look out they're standing on the spikes. Waste of money.

Our dog doesn't climb the fence any more!
Compared with the more spiky options, these are just right for keeping our large dog from putting his paws up on the fence and trying to climb out. Not sharp enough to cause injury, but definitely unpleasant. He now stays firmly planted on the ground where he belongs.Couple notes -- The width is just right to screw down onto a 2x4 on edge, fits perfectly in between the board-on-board cedar fence.- Used any kind of 1" screw to mount it in place, there are holes spaced across the length.- There are 2-3 creases on each strip so it's easy to snap them to fit the size you need. Or cut cusom length using tin snips or a utility knife.
